Teaching Experience

In the Fall 2019, I taught MKTG 352: Principles of Marketing Research. I knew from my prior experiences as instructor and teaching assistant that methods-based courses, such as Marketing Research, are usually challenging to teach for business undergraduate students. I knew I would have to do my best to engage students for them to appreciate (and perhaps even enjoy) a statistics-centered course. I attended several teaching workshops to help me prepare for this challenge. The evaluations suggest that my students enjoyed my class (instructor performance: 4.71 out of 5; 78% of students completed the evaluation).

MKTG352 Selected Evaluation Metrics Comparison:

  • The instructor was consistently well prepared for class: 4.88/5.00 (course average in Fall 2019: 4.59)

  • The instructor was very knowledgeable about the material covered in the course: 4.92/5.00 (course average in Fall 2019: 4.57)

  • The instructor's teaching style was effective in stimulating learning: 4.58/5.00 (course average in Fall 2019: 3.90)

  • I would recommend this instructor to other students: 4.69/5.00 (course average in Fall 2019: 3.98)
